EVENTS

At Troop 942, we engage in a variety of outdoor adventures including campouts, canoe trips, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, and whitewater rafting. Our activities also feature unique experiences like beach camping and visiting the USS Yorktown, ensuring an exciting and diverse range of opportunities for all of the Trailmen. Each month, we organize an activity to keep the troop engaged and constantly exploring new events and activities.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

The Operation Christmas Child shoebox packing party is held annually in November. We partner with a local American Heritage Girls Troop to pack shoeboxes to be distributed to the world through Samaritan’s Purse.

WOODLANDS TRAIL WORTHY DERBY

The Woodlands Trail Worthy Derby is held in March or April annually. Our Kindergarten through Fifth grade Trailmen build and race their cars for Trophies!

SHOOTING SPORTS WEEKEND

The Shooting Sports Weekend is held annually in March or April. It includes pistol, rifle, and shotgun ranges. The skeet shooting range includes a competition among the Navigators and Adventurers.

SUMMER ADVENTURE

Every other summer, our Adventurers (9th – 12th grade) Trailmen enjoy a high adventure trip. The 2023 Summer Adventure included a hike to the top of Mt. Adams in Washington State. The 2025 Summer Adventure will be a trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks in Wyoming.
